1191 KIT Rectangular Style Mortise Storm/Screen - Solid Brass
Available in several finishes.
For wood storm doors with a minimum of 1" thickness.
Escutcheon Plate: 1-1/4' x 6"
Mortise Pocket: 9/16"w x 2-1/8"h x 2-1/4"d
Backset: 1-1/2"
Handing Required: Indicate Left Hand (LH) or Right Hand (RH).
Kit Contains:
- 1- #1191 Lock
- 1- #SN123 Closer in Silver, Black or Brown
- 1-1/2 pr. Half Surface Solid Brass #3035 3-1/2" x 3" hinges
- 1-Chrome Chain Protector
Determining handing for door hardware is different than determining handing for carpentry (ordering and hanging doors). If you follow the standard carpentry rules for handing door hardware, instead of following the diagram below, there is good chance you may end up with a lock that is handed incorrectly. HANDING OF DOOR IS ALWAYS DETERMINED FROM THE OUTSIDE
- The outside of an exterior door is the street or entrance side.
- The outside of a room door is the hall side.
- The outside of a closet door is the room or hall side.
- The outside of a single communicating door is the side from which the hinges are not visible when the door is closed.
